The intelligent enterprise which evolved from mainframe era, comprises of business suite, digital platform and intelligent technologies. These Intelligent technologies consists of AI/ML & IoT, Block Chain, Big Data and Data intelligence and Analytics. These technologies help in experimenting with cost effectiveness and risk potential to come out with improved processes, increased revenue. There are various ways by which these intelligent technologies can be consumed either by embedding within the applications, industry innovation kits or by means of open innovation for best in class approach. Here’s is a overview of different segments of Leonardo and their features.

  1. SAP Leonardo Internet of Things (IoT)

There will be around 1 trillion devices by year 2030. Experts predict that impact of internet of things is more to grow as it has potential to massively impact the new innovations, insights. Autonomous vehicles, warning systems and agriculture are some fo the examples of IoT which are changing the lives today. Industrial Internet of Things is a broad part of Internet of Thing, which consists of integrated software capabilities, such as device management, Integration, Data management, application and security.

SAP Leonardo IoT consists of SAP Edge services, which can be deployed close to devices, SAP Leonardo Foundation and SAP Leonardo Bridge, which communicates with the SAP Core. Digital twin is the virtual representation of the physical world object, which is used to provde visibility in connecting with business processes and for sharing the information. Users can start the IoT journey by using either SAP IoT Leonardo foundation or using the ready to start models or by extending the edge services or by using IoT bridge

  1. SAP Leonardo Analytics

Analytics becomes the window to the intelligence enterprises. It is a simplified workflow based solutions which provides insights to everone, it consists of Planning, BI and Predictive Analytics. Predictive algorithms can generate insights using embeded machine skills enabling smart discovery, surfacing hidden patterns and finally insights into business insights. System uses predictive modeling and simulation and machine learning to understand the data, uses automated algorithms to process the data to show the factors influencing the processes.

  1. SAP Leonardo – Block Chain:

It is anticipated that world is going to change as the years go by and systems becomes more automated and business ecosystems change from point to point to network based system and new trust layers gets added to the list with more and more circular economies. Block Chain technology has a potential to fully develop into a network based innovation of business processes aimed at sharing the data for a trusted ecosysm i.e., network based business models derive and are created together with customers.  SAP Leonardo Block Chain offers ability to diploy distributed ledgers, block chain in a protocolagnostic way. Some of the use cases of Block Chain involve Advanced Track and Trace for Pharaceuticals for counterfeit products management, electronic bill of lading for transportation scenarios, secure bidding or agricultural contract maangement.

  1. SAP Leonardo – Machine Learning:

SAP Leonardo Machine Learning consits of conversational Experience, Intelligent apps and intelligent platform. Conversational AI helps in multilingual deep learning based technology to help in managing the customer intent. Web based development of Bot  helps in collaborative groups in building a bot, using a sample of paraphrase system so as to peform. Ready to go models are also be available starting for the Telecom business.

SAP Leonardo Machine Learning Foundation provides reusable APIs and services that application develops can embed in to apps and also provides training as a servics; retraining to customize the services for data science for scaling up to cloud and enterprise level. An example of machine learning based procurement to pay starts with an image based requsition which requests goods service instead of a manual process which gets triggered based on manual entry. System automatically even reminds the material group, new material to create etc.,.

  1. SAP Leonardo – Big Data:

Some of the challenges around use of big data for enterprise level use involves missing link between big data and enterprise data, lack of enterprise readiness and availablity of limited tools to productionize data scenarios. SAP datahub is used to unify both enterprise and distributed data systems, SAP HANA connecting to Hadoop, Cloud Storagem ML and prediction with data orchestration, monitoring, integration and ingestion. SAP Data hub is an infrastructure and it consits of Data discovery, data pipelines and orchestration, data ingestion, Distributing processing based SAP VORA with optimized engines namely Graph & Time series, which along with data hub modler, Data Hub Cockpit will create a complete system for managing the big data.

The core functionalities of datahub consists of i) data pipielines which is a flow based applications eg. ETL preparation, ii) workflows which orchestrate processes across landscape and iii. Meta data repository information.

  1. SAP Leonardo – Data Intelligence:

SAP Data Intelligence is a turnkey solution which operates on Live Customer Cloud operated by SAP. It has connectors and data services to help in serving customers better, developing new business models and re-imagining business processes. SAP starts with Ideation to prioritize the process, followed by exploratory phase to deliver intelligence, during pre production, testing the market and finally in production scenario annual cloud subscription is to be managed. The Data intelligence enables organizations simulate and make strateic decisions.

While coming to implement the SAP Leonardo it goes thorugh a series of phrases. The first phase being the exploration where business challenges are identified and prioiritized and path is defined, second from the list of available innovation kits and embdeded intelligence applications to address value proposition and subsequently prototypes are created.
